Enterprise Services Final Release XMI Files

XMI FILES

This directory contains the XMI files that were created as part of the
development of the IMS Enterprise Services specification.  There are 
three XMI files:

(1) PersonManService.xmi.zuml - Person Management Service XMI file 
	(zipped)
(2) GroupManService.xmi.zuml - Group Management Service XMI file 
	(zipped)
(3) MembershipManService.xmi.zuml - Membership Management Service 
	XMI file (zipped)

These files were produced by the Poseidon 2.4 UML authoring tool for 
the MacOS X operating system.

The key points to note are:

(1) These files were not used to generate the corresponding bindings.  
	IMS is currently working on developing an XSL/XSLT that will enable
	the bindings to be automatically generated from the XMI files but
	these will not be available until October 2004;
(2)	These files were not used to produce the diagrams in the specification
	documents.  Therefore, there could be discrepancies.  The specifications
	are taken to be definitive;
(3)	In many cases the OCL for the classes has not been added.  This is
	because there appear to be limitations on what the Poseidon tool
	can handle with respect to OCL.  IMS is working on how best to
	resolve this issue.

This files are supplied for information purposes only.  Later releases
of this specification will make definitive usage of these XMI files
and so more effort will be undertaken to ensure their completeness,
consistency and correctness.
